About Carrie & SolBreath

My breathwork journey

To be honest I had never heard of breathwork for 42 years of life.  I had practiced Kundalini breathing through my yoga practice. I had practiced diaphragmatic breathing through pilates. But one day the word "breathwork" began raining down upon me in many forms from various people. So when a friend asked me to join her for a breathwork workshop, YES was the obvious reply. What I experienced was life-changing, but I didn't know how it worked or what had happened. I just knew in those two hours my mind, body, and spirit all experienced profound releases resulting in deep healing and a euphoric state. I had been seeking this my entire adult life so I followed its beauty.

 

I began to explore breathwork at home and found it to be the most powerful form of meditation I've practiced over 20 years. In my experience, this is the simplest, most effective tool we all embody to heal ourselves and change our lives. I continue to uncover forgiveness, pure joy, and a direct path to the divine. Breathwork allows me to peel back my layers and be my true expression of love. It is my hope that in teaching this innate skill, it will take us all one step closer to compassionate living and recognizing our own divinity.

I was trained to guide breathwork by J.P. Crimi in L.A., Elvi Orr in Asheville N.C. and the many teachers of Alchemy of Breath all over the world. I've also experienced all sorts of breathwork techniques and weave these into my breathwork, healing, and transformational sessions.  I continue to work with my shamanic teacher, Julianne Santini, to learn and experience ancient methods of healing for myself , others, and our environment.  This is a way of life and something that I share with others through daily interactions.

I am also certified in Integrated Energy Therapy which is an energy balancing modality using the unconditional love of the Violet Flame or angel energy. This is a powerful way to clear imprints and unlock old belief systems.

Through the practices of meditations and breathwork I have been led to the healing energy of other multidimensional beings. This was an unintentional benefit but I have reconnected with this beautiful gift to receive powerful healings and guidance.  

Ongoing lessons

I move with the rhythms of nature and my own body. I believe in connecting deeply with nature to instill beautiful sleep patterns that rejuvenate me from the inside out. I believe in putting healthy things in my body so that I fuel my soul and my spirit. It is an important for me to remain clear and conscious in my life and all my relationships without the distortion toxins cause in our mind, body, & soul. I believe in being WILDLY AUTHENTIC, just like the sun, right down to my core.

Breathwork 

Breathwork refers to all breathing techniques, ancient or modern, through nose or mouth and using any specific parts of your breathing mechanism to achieve different states of awareness. Used by most cultures in various ways to deepen spiritual experiences and by others as a base for scientific research for physical and mental health, breathwork is also used for the training of individuals to grasp their ultimate potential, leading to the accomplishment of body and mind mastery for a variety of purposes (www.globalbreathingawareness.com).

Rebirth Breathwork

Rebirthing is a precise and very powerful breathing technique which was invented and perfected by Leonard Orr. When mastered it is also a way of life that leads to excellence, abundance, joy and spiritual clarity. This circular breathing technique usually conducted through the nose brings a very deep healing to the receiver who is washed in blissful sensations and a deep understanding of themselves.

Carrie provides private rebirth sessions and workshops on this method.  SolBreath is a distant relative of rebirth breathwork.  

Holotropic Breathwork

SolBreath is not Holotropic Breathwork but it does have similar results. Holotropic Breathwork is a therapeutic breathing technique that’s designed to stimulate an altered state of consciousness. This is intended to help with emotional healing, emotional release, and personal growth. The process involves breathing very fast for a period of time, which could be a few minutes or hours. This changes the balance between carbon dioxide and oxygen in the body and the reduced level of oxygen is believed to induce a state of altered consciousness.
